Holliday Loses Forest Hill Road Lawsuit | News
A Bibb County judge has rejected a Macon activist's lawsuit to stop the widening of Forest Hill Road.
Lindsay Holliday, a member of the Caution Macon activist group, filed the lawsuit against the Georgia Department of Transportation.
A source familiar with the case told 13WMAZ that Judge Ed Ennis ruled Tuesday that Holliday had no further legal avenues to fight the plan. A court trial got underway Monday.
The $8.4 million Forest Hill Road project has been in the works for 15 years.
State plans call for a turn lane between Northside Drive and Wimbish Road and widening to four lanes between Wimbush and Vineville Avenue.
Holliday has 35 days to appeal the ruling.
If not, the judge could lift an injunction and allow construction to begin.
We could not reach Holliday for comment.
