NewTown Macon names new president | News
The group responsible for promoting development and business in downtown Macon has named its next president.
Josh Rogers, executive director of the Historic Macon Foundation will replace longtime NewTown President Mike Ford.
His term will begin April 1st of next year.
Rogers says he's looking forward to continuing Ford's legacy, and even more excited about the future of downtown Macon.
"It's very exciting to be taking over for Mike Ford's success at this point in his career and to be able to see us through to the finish line," Rogers said. "There's so much stuff that's one the horizon for downtown Macon, so I couldn't be more excited to be taking over right now."
Rogers says the thing he's most looking forward to as NewTown's next president is the residential development of downtown Macon and the businesses that will bring.
