Longtime Macon pastor dies

Longtime Macon pastor and Troup County native Marshell Stenson Jr. has died.

He was the pastor at St. Luke Baptist Church for 44 years.

Before that, he's known for serving as pastor in Newnan as well as his role in the Civil Rights movement, where he hosted Martin Luther King Jr. and other advocates who traveled through central Georgia.

He leaves behind his wife, three children and nine grandchildren.
