Macon family makes it snow in their yard | News
While Central Georgia just saw bitterly cold weather and no white stuff, 13WMAZ's Elise Brown found a family who made it snow in their yard.
Anna Katherine Gregory, 14, and her friends went to school Tuesday, but it was still a snow day.
"I thought it was just gonna be when I was little but I guess we went all out this year," said Gregory.
When Gregory was 5 she asked Santa for snow and a snowmaker showed up.
"It looks pretty deep, especially right here," said Gregory.
Her mother Laurie explained how her husband makes it work.
"He hooks it up to a pressure washer and does it through our water system," she said.
During the day the machine is rotated enabling the snow to surround the house.
The Mount de Sales student couldn't wait to sled.
"Well, It hasn't gotten cold enough to do the snow machine in a while, so I don't know if I'll be too good at the sledding part. I have to practice," said Gregory.
For Gregory, the fun she can have with snow is endless.
"Try to make a snowman or have a snowball fight," said Gregory.
Throughout the day people drove by the house in awe of the winter wonderland.
"We actually one year had a mom ask if she could let her son play in the snow because he'd never seen snow, which I think that's great," said Laurie.
"It makes it feel like winter, because it's always hot here, so when it snows it really makes the season feel jolly," said Gregory.
