$5.4 million in improvements coming to Amerson River Park | News
Macon's Amerson River Park will close Saturday for up to a year for $5.4 million of improvements.
The work will include: new, permanent restroom facilities; signs, a gateway entrance, new lighting and electrical work, concrete sidewalks and trails, work to the roadway and bridge, water and sewer works, and more.
The work is funded by $5.4 million in federal grants.
NewTown Macon, which manages the 200-acre park, says work could take to a year.
