Pop-up boutique perfect for Valentine's Day gifts | News
Macon has gotten a taste of fashion.
"Flaunt: A First Friday Pop-up Boutique" opened its doors for the second time.
The event took place at the Blacksmith Shop on Poplar Street on Friday.
Erin Kovacs, owner of Sorella on Forsyth Rd, is one of several vendors taking part. She said she hoped she would meet more customers and bring them to her store.
She said, "I hope to see a lot of people come out and support downtown also. And enjoy the events put on tonight."
The pop-up boutique drew vendors from boutiques around downtown Macon, Athens and around Georgia.
Molly McWilliams Wilkins, one of the organizers, said, "We've also got some boutiques that are situated in North Macon that are going to come downtown as well. It's a chance to come out have some fun and see something different."
Wilkins teamed up with Main Street Macon, the Blacksmith Shop, and others to organize the event. She said gaining a large crowd shouldn't be problem since 200 people came to last year's event.
It's the perfect place to find gifts, like clothing, and jewelry. Just in time for Valentine's Day.
