Macon families invited to health and safety fair | News
Several community groups are sponsoring a health and safety fair for Macon families Friday.
It happens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Southwest High School on Williamson Road, Macon.
Services will include free health screenings, free dental screenings, children activities and fire-safety education. Also, Affordable Care Act Navigators will be on hand to help people sign up for care through healthcare.gov.
Southwest High graduate Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, the dean and executive vice president of Morehouse School of Medicine, will speak at 10 a.m.
Sponsors include 100 Black Men of Macon-Middle Georgia; Macon Promise Neighborhood and the United Way of Central Georgia.
