4 pedestrians hit in separate accidents in Macon

The Bibb Sherrif's Office released a statement saying three different accidents happened Saturday night involving pedestrians in Macon.

They are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened Saturday night around 7:20 p.m.

Witnesses say 46-year-old Roderick McGee was trying to walk across Pio Nono Avenue where it meets Stephens street just before Anthony Rd.

That's when officers were told a white or light- colored S.U.V hit McGee, and it left the scene, heading north on Pio Nono. The S.U.V should be missing its driver's side mirror and have damage on the driver side headlight.

About thirty minutes later and further south on Pio Nono at the Gold Cup Bowling Alley, another pedestrian was hit trying to cross the street.

Aron Fox and her husband were hit by a Ford truck driven by 52-year-old Christopher Eugene Maxwell from Macon.

Aron Fox is being treated for her injuries, and her husband Collin Fox refused medical treatment.

Maxwell was jailed for Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License.

Later at 8:30 at a Dollar General on Napier Avenue, 18-year-old Casson Hall Jr. was hit by a black Honda Accord with dark tinted windows. The Honda left the scene and may have possible damage on the front of the vehicle.

All three accidents are under investigation. Anyone with information in reference to any of these accidents is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for an "on-call" investigator.
