Alexander II students celebrate Pi Day in Macon
News

Friday is National Pi Day as well as Albert Einstein's birthday.

Kids at Alexander II School in Macon celebrated the mathematical constant and the science genius with some sweet treats.

Throughout the week teachers incorporated both topics into their lessons.

"Today is a good day to celebrate. Albert Einstein shows us that we can be masterminds in any subject - math, science social studies - all of our subjects at school," said student Gabe Reed.

The number pi begins with 3.14, which is why schools celebrate it on March 14th.
