Teams race beds for Cherry Blossom | News
Some odd looking vehicles raced down Cherry Street in Macon, Saturday.
The beds were built by teams of people who represent companies and organizations in central Georgia.
The cars were judged on four categories: most original idea, funniest bed, judges' choice, and the fastest bed.
Organizers say 5 teams participated in the race.
"That is the longest block I've ever run in my life," said Rob Betzel.
Rawni Sprague said, "My pit crew gives me the power. I just have to steer, but something in the steering just wasn't cooperating like it should have."
Proceeds raised during registration will benefit the Cherry Blossom Festival.
