Macon man charged with raping 16-year-old

A Macon man is charged with grabbing a 16-year-old off a street, dragging her behind a vacant home and raping her.

A Bibb County arrest warrant says DeAndre Taylor, 25, assaulted the girl around 8 p.m. Monday on Craft Street off Hardeman Avenue, near I-75.

The warrant says the victim knew Taylor, because he was a friend of her mother.

She told investigators she was walking home last night when she saw him walking past her and then following her.

The girl said she screamed, but he threatened to kill her.

The warrant says she gave officers Taylor's name, and he was arrested about an hour later.

He's now in the Bibb County jail, charged with rape, kidnapping and sexual assault.
