Car wreck injures 4 near Howard High School

This morning, at about 6:30 a.m., a two-vehicle accident near Forsyth Road in front of Howard High School sent 4 people to the hospital with injuries.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, a 2007 Kia Spectra driven by Barbra Shannon, age 71 of Macon, was traveling southbound on Forsyth Road, when a 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Marcus Dinkins, age 44 of Macon, crossed the road in front of it as Dinkins was leaving Howard High School.

The drivers and passengers from both vehicles were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment.

There is currently no word on the extent of their injuries, or their conditions.
