Bibb county deputy arrested

A Bibb County Sheriff's Deputy facing multiple charges after he was arrested Friday night, is out on bond. The Bibb County jail website shows Deputy Curtis Ryan Willis was released Saturday evening before 6, on a $4,380 bond.

He's charged with misdemeanor stalking, making harassing phone calls and a felony charge of identity theft fraud when using or possessing identifying information concerning a person.

According to a news release from the Bibb Sheriff's office, Willis used the identity of a female friend to communicate with an ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.

Willis used the female's identity without her permission and repeatedly sent unwanted text messages to the ex-girlfriend under that female's identity. He also used the same alias in attempt to communicate, in an explicit nature, with the new boyfriend to disrupt their relationship.

Spokeswoman Deputy Linda Howard says Willis is on suspension pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
