Bibb Commissioners approve change to alcohol sales | News
People in Macon and Bibb County will soon be able to fill up their favorite jug of craft beer, but you won't be able to stay and drink it.
Macon-Bibb commissioners approved a change to the alcohol sales code to allow the sale of growlers in Macon Bibb County. The change would allow the sale of 32 ounce and 64 ounce glass jugs called growlers. They can be refilled from the tap with craft beer. Buyers won't be able to drink any of the alcohol on the spot, but free samples can be consumed at the store.
Craft beer-to-go locations are popular in Milledgeville and Warner Robins.
A new north Macon location is expected to be open by the end of the month. You can preview the business in the story below.
