Developer plans housing at Macon's Miller High | News
A developer is asking Bibb County to approve tax credits for a project that would bring housing to Macon's former Miller High School.
Bibb County commissioners are scheduled to hear details of the plan by the Oracle Design Group Tuesday.
They want to turn the former A.L. Miller Senior High School for Girls building on Montpelier Avenue into 62 one-, two- and three-bedroom units. They also want to build nine single-family homes on the 11-acre site. They're calling it a $9.2 million project.

The school opened in 1932 as an all-girl school and eventually merged into Central High School.
The housing proposal is one of several competing for tax-credit support from Bibb County commissioners.
