Hospital police officer accused of shooting at ex wife
News

A Medical Center Police Department officer is accused of stalking, causing a car wreck and shooting at his ex wife and her male companion.

Carlos Antonio Wilson, 39, is accused of following his ex wife and her acquaintance down Mercer University Drive Wednesday morning.

The couple pulled into a gas station on Napier and that's when Wilson got out of his vehicle and starting shooting at the couple.

They were able to pull off, but Wilson followed them down Log Cabin Drive until he rammed the back of the vehicle causing both cars to wreck.

After waving his handgun again, a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's office says Wilson pulled his ex wife from the vehicle then ran away.

Wilson surrendered to members of the Southeastern Regional Task Force later that morning and has been charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, stalking and violation of oath of office.
