News

Bibb deputies are searching for a man who they say stole meat and other food items from Kroger on Forsyth Road.

Early Sunday morning about 1 a.m., deputies say a man entered the grocery store with a black trash bag. He walked to the meat department, and then back to the front, where they say he filled the bag with food items.

When an employee attempted to stop the man at the door, he pulled out a box cutter.

A police report says he took meat and other food items.

The man was last seen wearing a black short sleeve T-shirt, black pants, white and black tennis shoes and a black doo-rag on his head. He's described as about 5'10.

If you have any information to share on the case, you can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
