Macon man killed in head-on collision | News
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a head-on collision that killed a Macon man and injured two adults and two children.
It happened in west Bibb on Columbus Road near Cavalier Drive, around 3:30 a.m.
According to a sheriff's news release, a Range Rover SUV traveling east on Columbus Road collided head-on with a Chevrolet Suburban.
The front-seat passenger in the Suburban was pronounced dead at the scene. He is identified as Patrick Deon Howard, 32, of Macon.
Three other family members -- the driver and two children -- were taken to a hospital and all are listed in stable condition.
The driver is identified as Pricilla Smith, 30 years old. The children are Chris Smith, age 9, and 6-year-old Destiny Howard.
The driver of the Range Rover, Aaron Hendley, 28, of Macon, is hospitalized in stable condition.
The news release did not give any details about how the accident happened. The sheriff's office said the crash is still being investigated.
