Prostitution sting nets nine arrests in Bibb County | News
Nine people were arrested at a local hotel in a prostitution sting at a local hotel.
The arrests were made June 18 and 19 in a prostitution operation conducted by the Bibb and Columbia sheriffs' offices and the FBI and GBI, according to a Bibb County news release.
The operation was coordinated with a nationwide FBI operation over several days, the news release states.
The nine arrested and their charges are as follows: Talitha Charman Jackson, 28, of Macon was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court; Muhamad Abdullah Vasser, 28, of Macon was arrested and charged with pimping; Raymond Lawrence Chapman, age 20, of Riverdale was arrested and charged with pimping and marijuana possession; Teronica Ogavia Few, age 20, of Atlanta, was arrested and charged with prostitution; Kara Nicole Brown, 24, of Centerville, was arrested and charged with prostitution; Ronika Christina Norwood, 19, of Macon, was arrested and charged with prostitution; Lakesha Lashay White, 20, of Macon, was arrested and charged with prostitution; Nokosha Renea White, 21, of Macon was arrested and charged with prostitution; Jasmine Lakeisha Sallette, 22, of Macon, was arrested on a contempt warrant.
"The dedicated Bibb investigators with our Special Investigations Unit are proud to partner with these federal, state, and county agencies to help identify the unwilling victims and to bring the repulsive offenders to justice," Bibb County Sheriff's David Davis stated in a news release.
