Bragg Jam and Macon Film Festival announce partnership | News
Music, arts, and films are what festival-goers can to look forward to at the 2015 Bragg Jam Festival.
The annual Film Festival and Bragg Jam will be combining next year.
Instead of the 4-day film event in February, the festival will collaborate with the Bragg Jam event in July.
Macon Film Festival President, Julie Wilkerson, says the have been wanting to move the festival to another month, but were not sure of which one.
Wilkerson says this enables them to focus on the different yet similar missions each group has.
"The main thing is that we're both for a fun vibrant entertaining downtown and combing the festival gives us a 10-day music festival instead of 4 days in February and 2 days in July," says Wilkerson.
The official collaboration will not happen until next year, but this year organizers are giving a preview of what it will be like next year.
On Saturday, July 26th during the Bragg Jam festival, the Film Festival will host a premiere screening at the Douglass Theatre.
The cost for the screening is $5 or free with a Bragg Jam Concert Crawl
