String of burglaries under investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff's office is investigating a string of burglaries in north Macon.

Employees at Keene's Cleaners on Forsyth Road came in Friday morning to find busted down doors and cash stolen...

"There used to be a cash register underneath this monitor and now it's gone, there was a cash register under here, that's gone. Now we'll have to buy two," says Chulyong Chung.

Keene's was just one store hit around 4 a.m. Honey Baked Ham had was also broken into. A manager there says burglars jumped the counter but couldn't get to any money because the door was locked.

Around 4:30, China Inn on Vineville was hit. An incident report says video shows three men with T-shirts wrapped on their heads breaking in by smashing a concrete flower pot.

Then, a window was broken at a nearby Marathon station. But burglars weren't able to make it inside.

The Bibb Sheriff's office isn't saying officially whether they believes the cases are related.
