Man charged with attempted murder in 2013 shooting | News
A Macon man is in jail charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting his girlfriend when she tried to break up with him.
According to a news released from the Bibb County Sheriff's office, a Crimestoppers tip led U.S. Marshals to the 700 block of Tidewater Circle in Macon, to arrest 21-year-old Davares Jerrelle Evans. He's charged with attempted murder of Sierra Scott in December 2013.
The sheriff's office says on December 3, 2013, Evans went to Scott's home on the 1200 block of West Granada Terrace. When Scott told Evans that she wanted to end the relationship and asked him to leave her home, he shot her in her hand. Witnesses identified Evans as the shooter.
Evans is charged with one count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder (Felony), 1 count of Failure to Appear (Misdemeanor) and 1 count of Violation of Probation (Felony). He is currently in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
