Macon cyclist hit while towing push lawnmower

A bicyclist was hit on Eisenhower Parkway around 2 a.m. Sunday morning, the Bibb County Sheriff's office said in a press release.

56-year-old Larry Worthy, from Macon, was towing a push lawnmower with his bicycle when he tried to cross the northbound lanes of Eisenhower Parkway from Second Street. That's when deputies say 25-year-old Javorious Knight hit Worthy in his 1997 Nissan Altima.

Worthy was taken to the hospital and listed as stable. No charges have been filed.

This accident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500.
