Helicopters continued to douse a brush fire Wednesday night on Tucker Valley Road in Macon, after it crossed a barrier made to stop it.
Macon-Bibb fire chief Marvin Riggins says crews worked overnight and will remain on the scene on Tucker Valley Road in West Bibb for at least the next two days, keeping the fire contained.
So far, no homes or structures have been damaged in the fire, and there have been no reported injuries from the fire.
The fire is just off Mercer University Drive, approximately one mile off of Interstate 475.
The fire has burned about 10 acres of forest so far.
Macon-Bibb Fire Chief James Wallace told 13 WMAZ on Wednesday morning that the department first got a call about the fire at around 12:00 to 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
