A Macon man on Friday held a man he suspected of breaking into his car until deputies arrived.

It happened around 7 a.m. outside a home on St. Ives Drive. That's off Captain Kell Road in north Macon.

A police report says Timothy Johnson looked outside his home and saw his car door open.

When he walked around his home. he said, he saw a man standing in the yard.

When Johnson asked the man who he was and what he was doing there, the man pointed a flashlight in his face and ran off.

Johnson caught the man in a neighbor's yard across the street and held him until officers arrived.

According to the report, a deputy found Johnson grappling with Aaron Jones, age 19, of Macon.

The sheriff's office says Jones was still being questioned Friday afternoon, but investigators expect to charge him in the case.
