Henley Fires 76 At Q School | News
Former University of Georgia and Stratford Academy golf standout Russell Henley started slowly but finished fast in the opening round of PGA Tour Qualifying School's Second Stage in Panama City, Florida.
Henley missed several short putts to start his round at The Hombre Golf Course and made the turn at six over par.
Two more bogies on his back nine put him at eight over par before he rallied with three straight birdies to finish with a five over par round of 76.
Henley ended up the first day in a tie for 65th place. The top 21 players and ties after four rounds of golf advance to next month's final state of PGA Tour Qualifying.
Henley tees off before 8 am Central Time Thursday morning.
