Man Leads Warner Robins Police on Chase

Correction: This story originally reported an incorrect time frame for the chase. Police say it lasted about 35 minutes.

A Warner Robins man threatened officers, then led police on a 35-minute chase that ended in the Houston Medical Center parking lot, a news release says.

The man remained at the hospital Thursday, under observation.

Police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says family members called police because 43-year-old Cliff Jacobs was "delusional."

When officers arrived at the home on MacArthur Boulevard, she said, he threatened them, and then left in his pickup truck, before the department's SWAT team arrived.

The news release says Jacobs led officers on a chase into Bibb County then back into Houston County along Highway 247. He finally drove into the hospital parking lot just before 10 p.m., when he was taken into custody.

There were no reported injuries.
