Macon Man Shot at Home After Work

Police say a Macon man was shot as he stood on the screened porch of his home early Saturday morning.

According to a news release, at 3:51 a.m., two unidentified men approached the victim from the side of his house on the 2300 block of Holiday Drive in east Macon off New Clinton Road. 

One of the men opened fire, hitting the victim in the stomach and right shoulder.

He was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment.

No update on the condition of the victim was made available at this time. 

Police urge anyone with information on this incident or on the suspects to call MPD at 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
