Macon Man Dies After Being Shot By Girlfriend

According to Bibb County Coroner, Leon Jones, a Macon man died this afternoon after being shot in the head by his girlfriend.

Macon police say a woman shot a man in the head, then told officers that the man accidentally shot himself.

Police spokeswoman Melanie Hoffman said charges against 22-year-old Shondrinka Walker have been upgraded to murder after 47-year-old Terrific Woolfolk was pronounced dead earlier Sunday.

A police news release says a woman called and said a man had accidentally shot himself. Officers found Woolfolk inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say it happened around 5:45 p.m. Saturday on the 2400 Block of D Street. That's off Eisenhower Parkway and Felton Avenue.

Walker eventually told police that she shot Woofolk during an argument, the release says.

Walker is in the Bibb County jail, charged with murder.
