'Twilight Moms' Gather for Movie Premiere in Macon

Hundreds gathered at Am-Star theater in North Macon for the end of an era, as the curtain closes on the final installment of the "Twilight" series, Breaking Dawn: Part Two.

But one Macon woman took being a "Twi-mom" to a whole new level.

Cindy Adrien founded a non-profit group called "Esme's Heart," a group of Twilight mothers that plan events to benefit the community: hosting food drives, gathering Toys for Tots, and even adopting a stretch of road near the theater.

Adrien says Twilight isn't just for teens, saying there's "a number of women my age that really love the Twilight series and wanted to do something positive it."

The group's involvement with the community drew the attention of Twilight actor Daniel Cudmore, who plays Felix in the movie.

Cudmore came to Macon for the premiere, joking that his first time in Georgia was fun because "I had Chick-Fil-A for the first time."

He says it's fans like Adrien and others who have made the series so successful.

"I mean, without the fans, you really wouldn't have this size of a scope of the film, and it's so many people's lives, so if you have the ability to use all of that and use it towards helping more people, I think that's a great and positive place to be."
