Macon Company Seeks Donations for Sandy's Victims
News

A Macon business is spearheading a drive to collect emergency supplies for victims of Superstorm Sandy.

Graphic Resource at 152 Spring St. has set up a trailer to collect those supplies. They plan to ship them to Edison, N.J.

They've also set up a web site to promote the drive: Help from the Heart of Georgia.

Some of the items they're looking for:

Backpack sprayers;
large sprayers for mold remediation;
OSHA N92 and OSHA N95 face masks;
gloves (work and warm);
socks, diapers, new adult and children's undergarments;
blankets;
shovels;
bleach;
cleaning supplies;
rakes;
trash bags;
Pine Sol;
large garbage bags;
bottled water;
canned goods;
and paper products

Organizer Phyllis Farmer says they can't accept any clothing items, other than the ones listed, due to space and storage limits.

They're currently accepting donations at 152 Spring St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, Monday through Friday.

They hope to add additional collection hours as more volunteers sign up

For more information, call Graphic Resource at (478) 745-2665 or Phyllis Farmer at (478) 731-8367.
