FPD Preps for Landmark Christian

The First Presbyterian Day School football team has already made history this year by fighting deep into the GHSA single A playoffs.

Friday they will take on Landmark Christian Academy.

Head Coach Greg Moore fired up his guys Wednesday afternoon as they prepared for the showdown.

Moore said when you get to this level it comes down to the simplicity of execution and not making mistakes.

He thinks they can exploit some holes and gain some ground with special teams, but Moore has a lot of respect for Landmark Christian and says they will come in with their own solid game plan.

"They're going to try and run the ball, and they're going to try and get physical with us. And we've got to stop the run," Moore explained.

Senior Alec Martin also feels the two teams stack up well against each other.

"Well with Landmark they are a really good team, and they run a lot. And all we've got to do on defense is stop them," Martin said.

Last year the Vikings went out in the first round of the playoffs when they lost to Bremen.
