Macon-Bibb Transition Team Seeks Feedback | News
The task force in charge of merging Macon and Bibb County governments is working to engage the community.
A communications team was created by the consolidation task force to get information out to the public. To do that effectively, the city's director of communication Chris Floore says they need baseline data from the public.
They have created a survey that aims to glean what people want to know about consolidation, how they prefer to get the information, and what issues rank high in importance.
"People need to take this opportunity to provide their input and their feed back," said Floore. "because if we don't have their feed back, we don't know what their concerns are, we can't address them. It'd just be us working in a bubble."
He says the survey is part of a bigger effort-- they're planning public forums throughout the year, and also reaching out through social media. They've also asked the Knight Foundation to help fund a hard-copy version of the survey that will be mailed to about 15,000 homes in the county.
The survey is now available at MaconBibb.TV
