Teens Hit in Two Macon Shootings, Police Say
News

Macon police are investigating two Saturday afternoon shootings.

Officers were called to the basketball court at Freedom Park around 2 p.m.  They found a teenage boy shot in the right arm.  He was taken to the Medical Center for treatment and released.

About an hour later, officers were called to the 3400 block of Morgan Drive.  A teenage girl was reportedly hit in the leg during a drive-by shooting at a home.  According to a Macon police news release, the girl actually suffered a bruise instead of a bullet wound.

"Here lately, it's been a good bit of gunshots running through here. But it's time to be concerned about it," says Brinceson Sanders who has lived off Morgan Drive for ten years.

Investigators say that a gold, tan, or champagne Honda Accord was seen at both places at the times that the shots were fired.  Anyone with information is asked to call Macon police investigator Penson at 478-477-3997 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
