Man Found Dead Behind Macon Home | News

Macon police are trying to figure out how a missing 63-year-old man ended up dead in a ditch.

The man's body was found around 5 p.m. in a backyard on the 800 block of Corbin Avenue, off Riverside Drive.

Police said he is Robert Odom, who lived at 849 Corbin Ave., next door to the yard he was found in.

Jones said he had been missing for several days, and it's unclear how long he'd been dead.

He said the body is covered with mud, and there was no immediate word on Odom's cause of death.
