Residents React To Bibb-Monroe Border Dispute | News
After the surprise decision by a Fulton County judge, 13WMAZ went to some of the neighborhoods that could be affected if the decision is upheld.
Huey Reynolds has lived in his house off of Taylor Terrace, a neighborhood that could be affected for 15 years.
He said when he first heard of the Fulton County decision he was surprised.
"I was really shocked to tell you the truth cause I thought it was cut and dry deal months ago," said Reynolds.
But he told 13WMAZ that he is keeping an open-mind if the line pushes him and his neighborhood into Monroe County.
"Before I thought I would be better off in Bibb County at least I knew what I had in Bibb County but now since we're consolidated in the city now I might be better off in Monroe County as far as taxes is concerned," said Reynolds.
13WMAZ talked to other people who live in neighborhoods that could be affected and they say they think that their taxes could be lower, if their properties went to Monroe County.
