Dozens of people lined up at the Macon Centreplex to get tickets to see Elton John in concert.

The Crocodile Rock singer is coming to Macon and tickets went on sale Saturday morning.

This is the first time in over a decade Elton John will take the stage at the Centreplex.

Dr. Paul Firth says the ticket line moved quickly and that he can't wait to see the concert.

"It's a once in a lifetime thing, even though we know he is up in Atlanta he very rarely gives private concerts and I was told that ten years ago when he came down here he brought a wonderful piano and had a great concert," says Dr. Paul Firth of Macon.

Firth says the song he wants to hear live from the music legend is the classic, "Rocket Man."

Elton John will take the Centreplex stage March 20th at 8:00 p.m.
