Central Georgia Youth to Compete in Jazz Contest
His music is a part of history, and the inspiration for one group of teenagers' future.
The Douglass Theatre's Youth Jazz Orchestra is the only group from Central Georgia competing in the Essentially Ellington contest. That would take them to New York City.
Wednesday night, the high school musicians recorded songs by the late jazz legend Duke Ellington that could qualify them for a spot in the national competition.
