Judge Orders New Bibb-Monroe Line | News
A Fulton County judge has officially signed-off on a ruling moving the Bibb-Monroe county border.
But that doesn't mean the long-running legal battle is over.
Judge Kelly Lee yesterday approved the order telling the Georgia Secretary of State's office to approve the new line within 14 days.
The judge also rejected Bibb County's request to have their say in the case.
Bibb County attorney Virgil Adams says he expects the Georgia Secretary of State's office to appeal the order and he will continue pushing to intervene in the court case.
Lee's order would shift the county line several hundred yards south into Bibb County.
And that would move dozens of properties worth millions of dollars from Bibb to Monroe.
