Bibb School Board Meeting Postponed Abruptly | News

Amid speculation about the future of Bibb School Superintendent Romain Dallemand, a special school board meeting scheduled for 4 p.m. was abruptly postponed Thursday afternoon.
A news release from the school district said the meeting was postponed "due to the unavailability of essential parties" and would likely be rescheduled for next week.
The meeting was called just yesterday, Wednesday.
School Board member Lester Miller told us that board member Thelma Dillard and school board attorney Patrick Millsaps were unavailable to attend, forcing the postponement. (Dillard actually showed up for the meeting after rearranging her schedule. But by that time, the meeting was already postponed.)
These same board members said it appeared the board was deadlocked 4-4 on the issue, making it unlikely it would approve a buyout at this time.
