Macon Police Investigate Infant's Death
Macon police are investigating the death of a 26-day-old infant in Macon.
Assistant Coroner Lonnie Miley says Tyshayn Haugabrook's mother called emergency services from her home on Bonnie Avenue around midnight, saying the baby had difficulty breathing.
He says the baby died in the Pediatric ICU at the Medical Center of Central Georgia around an hour and a half later.
An autopsy will be done, which is standard procedure in an infant's death.
Police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet says it is an open investigation and has not yet released any further details.
