Sidney Lanier Honored on Birthday | News
Sidney Lanier, the Macon poet, musician, and soldier was honored on the 171st anniversary of his birth Sunday.
About 60 people came to commemorate the poet at the Sidney Lanier Cottage off High Street.
Poet Ward Abel recited written works and played music to commemorate Lanier.
You can visit the Sidney Lanier Cottage Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 pm.
