Macon Film Festival Comes to Town | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Bold and the Beautiful actress Crystal Chappell made an appearance at the Macon Film Festival, drawing loyal fans armed with cameras.
But it was her behind the scenes that brought her to town, showing off her new web show, the Grove, which she is producing.
Chappell and others attending the festival based at Cherry Street and highlighting films shown at the Capitol and Douglass Theaters in downtown Macon, say in addition to showing films, Macon is a good place to shoot films.
"I love the houses with the porches," Chappell said. "In fact, we went on a location scout for another show that I had mind, because they're being very inviting to come shoot here."
For local actors and filmmakers, the added attention to the town is a boost. Chuck Clark owns a pest control business in Macon and acts on the side. He's working on a film called "You're My What?" that's being entered into the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The film festival continues through Sunday.
