District FCCLA Chapters Visit State Capitol for FCCLA Day | News
On February 6, members and officers of several District chapters of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) participated in the annual FCCLA Day at the Capital in Atlanta.
Students had the opportunity to sit in on a General Session meeting and complete a scavenger hunt that highlighted Georgia’s rich history.
Students also learned about Georgia’s House of Representatives and Senate, including their functions and how many members serve in each. Some of the students also met with state Rep. Nikki Randall, who spoke with them about nutrition and advocacy for children.
