Macon Man Joins District Two Commission Race

A 27-year-old paper mill worker says he knows what the people of Macon want from the consolidated government.

Brandon Carlisle grew up in Macon and now wants to represent his hometown as the district two commissioner.

Carlisle says he wants to focus on helping people in the community most affected by the economy and tackling crime.

He says, "I think one of the main things is reducing crime, and I don't think that involves making more arrests. It involves crime prevention, which would be giving our young people more opportunities to get involved in the community, get involved in local politics, giving them more activities, something to do to get them off the streets."

Paul Bronson and city council members Larry Schlesinger and Henry Ficklin are also in the hunt for the district two seat.
