Pitbulls Attack Man in Wheelchair
A 70-year-old man in a wheelchair was attacked by pit bulls Thursday afternoon in Macon.
A Macon police news release says the man was passing by a home on Putnam Street in his wheelchair when two pit bulls attacked him, "mangling" his hand.
A neighbor ran the dogs off and the victim went to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
The owner of the dogs was cited for failure to restrain and failure to inoculate the animals.
Police did not release the name of the victim or the dogs' owner.
