With Easter just around the corner a local non-profit organization is making sure that some children won't be left out of the celebration.
More than 30 volunteers for Baskets of Joy prepared Easter baskets for foster children across central Georgia.
Nearly 300 baskets were filled with toys, candy and bibles.
The baskets will be given to children at four shelters, and two children's homes in six different counties.
"Many people that you talk to have a memory of waking up on Easter to a basket celebrating it, and it's a great way to ensure that people receive that." says John Fox.
Katie Jones, Director of Baskets of Joy, says "Our kids aren't going to be kissed goodnight or tucked into their beds the night before Easter but hopefully when they wake up, they'll have something to show that somebody loves them. "
Baskets of Joy is a partner of another non-profit organization, Kids Yule Love.
