On 10/22/26, Helene Geneva Humphrey was born to Thomas and Era Humphrey in Santa Fe, TN. She was the 9th of 10 children, 8 boys and 2 girls. Only her youngest sibling, Cleve Humphrey, still remains with us. She married Raymond Lewis Rosson on November 2nd, 1944. In 1956 she and her husband started Rosson Sign Company and Helene was the secretary/treasurer of the company until 1988.

Helene was a devoted Christian wife, mother, and servant of the Lord. She was a member of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church. The Lord was her passion and she was blessed to sing alto in five Baptist church choirs where she shared her love and prayers with a multitude of friends and believers. Helene was a gracious and gentle woman who tried to help people through her kind words, actions and prayers. There are a great many with whom our mother shared her hope, witness and love. All were blessed and touched by her loving Christian grace and were better for the experience. She will be missed by everyone she touched. Helene was Raymond’s wife for 68 years before his death on March 30, 2013.

Survivors include her daughter, Janis Altizer; son, Jack T. Rosson (Jan); four grandchildren, Rebekah Elizabeth Hill, John Thomas Rosson, Todd Altizer, and Jeff Altizer; five great grandchildren; and brother, Cleve Humphrey (Margie). The family would like to thank her caregivers, Gloria Ussery and Mae Farley, and the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice for their diligent services rendered.
