Funeral services for Mr. James Anderson Kitchens, 68, of Danville who died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma and lung cancer will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with Elder Franklin Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Allentown City Cemetery.

 Mr. Kitchens was born in Twiggs County, the son of the late Tommy and Dora Lee Horne Kitchens. He was a 1961 graduate of Twiggs County High School. He was retired from Glass Service Center in Macon and was an avid golfer and longtime member of Uchee Trail Country Club. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise K. Collins, a brother, J.M. “Spud” Kitchens and his step-mother, Mozelle Floyd Kitchens.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Grace Evans Kitchens of Danville; son, Andy Kitchens and his wife, Laurie of Allentown; 2 daughters, Sandi Brown and her husband, Gary and Michele Cranford and her husband Shelly, both of Cochran; brother, Gene Kitchens and his wife, Elizabeth of Allentown; sister-in-law, Patricia Kitchens of Macon; grandchildren, Landin Kitchens, Lane Kitchens, Chad Brown, Kyle Brown, McKinley Cranford, Ty Cranford and Nicole Montano.

The family may be contacted at the residence on Tommy Kitchens Road, Danville and will meet friends following the service on Thursday.
