Pearl Crumpton Wilkes 1927-2011

 

Pearl Crumpton Wilkes, 84, of Macon, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011, at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church with Drs. Mark Hudgins and Laudis H. Lanford officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall. Donations may be made to Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, 4490 Ocmulgee East Blvd, Macon, GA 31217, or the Salvation Army, 1955 Broadway, Macon, GA 31206.

John G. Ryles 1945-2011

 

Macon- John G. Ryles III, 66, of Macon, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 2:00PM at Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend Danny Lyles and Mike Phillips officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of Buddy and Linda O’Neal, 3770 Davis Road. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3525 Piedmont Road, NE, Building 6, Suite 300, Atlanta, Georgia 30305.

Mr. Ryles was the son of the late John George Ryles, Jr. and the late Dorothy Johnson Ryles and was predeceased by his nephew, Stacy Cofer. He was a master machinist and gunsmith all his life. Mr. Ryles was a member of Cross Keys Baptist Church.

Redin Wiley Hodges 1933-2011

 

Sandersville, GA- Redin Wiley Hodges, Jr., 78, of 475 Green Lane Road, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 3:00PM at Poplar Springs Christian Church with Pastor Fred Morrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Poplar Springs Christian Church, 475 Green Lane Road, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.

Born in Sandersville, he was the son of the late Redin Wiley Hodges, Sr. and Allie Prosser Hodges. Mr. Hodges was retired from the kaolin business after forty years of service.

Allen Middleton Tuten

 

Macon-Allen Middleton Tuten, 85, died Thursday, December 8, 2011. Memorial service will be held 4:00PM on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia with the Reverend Gary Walker and the Reverend Jeff Johnson officiating plus a eulogy by Leonard Grace. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be held 4:00PM on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Omega Cemetery in Baxley, Georgia. Donations may be made to Jeffersonville Church of God, PO Box 141, Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044.

D.C. Palmer

 

Gray- D C Palmer, 87, of 325 Creekside Drive, died Monday, December 5, 2011. Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00AM at Northridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Bruner and the Reverend Klay Aspinwall officiating. Burial will be private at Georgia Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Friday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street.

Doris C. Greene

 

Lizella, GA- Doris C. Greene, 85, of 3120 Hamlin Road, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00AM at Midway Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. Ben Haygood and Dr. Tripp Martin will officiate. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:00AM until 11:00AM.

Mrs. Greene was affiliated with Midway Baptist Church and Vineville Baptist Church. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mrs. Greene was predeceased by her brother, Dewitt Cullars.

Alexander Marshall Vane

 

Macon-Services for Alexander Marshall Vane will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St Paul’s Episcopal Church with the Reverend Hal Weidman officiating. Interment will be in the church memorial garden following the service. A Celebration of Life reception will follow the interment in the church undercroft. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 753 College Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Alex, age 20, graduated from Howard High School in May of 2010. He was an outstanding soccer player, quiz bowl and chess team member while in the Bibb County school system. His passion was playing the drums, music, and being a free spirit.
